The second generation of the Davda family separated their businesses and incorporated individual outlets in Gandhidham and in whole of Kutch. Meanwhile, Mr. Shailesh Davda was running a successful pharmaceutical business until the Bhuj disaster, which did strike their business heavily. Mr. Shailesh always wanted to continue his father’s legacy of owning a confectionery shop and being a part of the joyous occasions of every family. His belief was that individuals typically visit pharmacies when they are experiencing physical or mental health issues, whereas Mithai shops are visited during times of celebration. Wanting to be a part of these happy occasions and having a desire to continue his father’s legacy, he decided not to continue his pharmaceutical business and get back to his family roots, and that’s where the birth of Taajas Foods took place.

Our origin dates back to 1970 when Mr. Jethalal Davda embarked on a journey to open a small Mithai Shop in Khavda, named after their hometown. It started with a very humble beginning, with around 5 to 6 sweet delicacies being served. Mr. Jethalal Davda was the face of the business, and his name was interchangeably used with Khavda Sweets, while his elder brother, Mr. Mohan Bhai Davda, looked into the making and manufacturing of the delicacies. As Khavda Sweets gained popularity and love from the people of Khavda and Gujarat, more family members moved to Bhuj and joined in to help manage the operations. The female members of the family too were contributing to the backhand operations of the business with no help from any outsiders.

Mr. Shailesh has the aim of creating a luxury brand that provides high-quality and premium Sweets and Namkeen to cater to every need of the customer and has a strong willingness to be a part of every festive and happy occasion of our clients while keeping our traditions and values intact. We promise to provide our customers with delicacies while maintaining the authenticity of the recipes, using pure and natural ingredients, and giving a wholesome and homemade feel to every bite of our scrumptious delights. Our passion for crafting delectable sweets and namkeen has been passed down through generations, and we aim to continue to delight our customers for years to come.
